Strawberry Salsa

Looking for a way to switch up the traditional salsa recipe? How about swapping strawberries for tomatoes? Strawberry season is ON and we love this healthy recipe to use for a snack or as a topping for your favorite lean protein (we suggest salmon!).

Ingredients

1 lime, juiced 1 ½ tsp honey 1 pint of strawberries, diced 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped (tip: omit seeds for less heat) ½red onion, chopped ½ cup cilantro, chopped Salt + pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients mix well. 2. Adjust the seasonings if need be (lime = acidity, honey = sweet, salt = savory). 3. Let sit for 30 minutes to let the flavors marinate. 4. Serve with your favorite TCD approved chips or use as a topping on a lean, grilled protein.
